Light School Uriri is located in Uriri District. The purpose of the school is to provide safe living and learning environment for all children including orphans and vulnernable children. At Light School Uriri we provide children with food two-meals a day, clothing and education. Light School is a non-profit, modern school built with the aim of making learning fun.

Light School is providing Early Childhood Development to Upper Primary. The key to our success lies in our cooperative and collaborative style.  

Our pupils have the opportunity to pursue a diverse range of extracurricular activities to complement their rigorous academic curriculum.

A Tribute to Novie

Novie Blare Oyigi was an 8 year old pupil at The Light School. He was a very bright chap – number three in his class one. Novie succumbed to Sickle Cell Anemia on August 7, 2011 and was laid to his final resting place on August 12, 2011. May his soul rest in Peace – we loved you and will miss your smiling face and uplifting personality. The Light School would like to express their heartfelt thanks to all of the folks worldwide who have been supportive in this time of mourning.
